The Health Benefits of Reflecting on the Shortness of Life

From time to time reflecting on the shortness of life, the irreplaceability of passing time, and how we cannot truly control how our lives will unfold over time - is a powerful way to center oneself and gain perspective on how to live each day in a meaningful way.

This does not mean forget all your obligations, or be irresponsible to that which you need to accomplish everyday - but it does help you to make some decisions that will help you with your mental, physical, and spiritual health.

Maybe after a long day of work, it helps you make the decision to only watch 1 hour of TV opposed to two, and instead use that extra time to call a loved one, or go for a walk outside and experience the beauty of the world and the good fortune of simply being alive.
